Théorème de Rouché

Théorème : Soient $f$ et $g$ deux fonctions holomorphes non constantes dans un ouvert connexe $U$, et soit $K$ un compact à bord régulier inclus dans $U$. Supposons qu'on a $$|f(z)-g(z)|<|f(z)|+|g(z)|$$ sur la frontière de $K$. Alors $f$ et $g$ ont même nombre de zéros dans $K$ (comptés avec leur multiplicité).
Le théorème tel qu'il est énoncé ci-dessus est une version plus précise du théorème de Rouché initial, due en 1962 au mathématicien britannique Theodor Estermann. Le théorème initial, publié par Eugène Rouché un siècle auparavant, prouvait le même résultat sous l'hypothèse $$|f(z)-g(z)|<|g(z)|$$ sur la frontière de $K$.
